Redness, Rashes and Hives
These are some of the skin issues we deal with when living with an autoimmune disorder. Our skin can be so very sensitive. It’s frustrating. Sometimes it feels like everything irritates my skin. Right now as I write this post my skin is angry. I have a complete rosacea flare up on half of my face.
The weather can also cause our skin to react. If I spend too much time outdoors in the cold or heat my rosacea will also flare up. So if the weather isn’t right, I skip out on our afternoon walk with the our pup.
Heat rashes are the most annoying to me because they burn and itch at the same time! So I try my best to keep myself cool and out of direct sunlight.
Stress can also cause skin reactions. I know we can’t avoid stressful situations, especially if your at work or taking care of your kids. when I can, I walk away. I take a deep breath and have a few sips of my iced tea. It seems to help.
But, if it’s too late and your already having a reaction I love using Origins Mega Mushroom or Dickenson’s witch hazel to sooth my skin.
